This is a brand new product, we are still working on the description. These are some of the most useful work stands available, that you can make yourself. You could make the whole thing, or save a little time and get the DIY kit, that includes everything except the tube and top. These stands use a common car rotor for the base, this gives a solid base with a small foot print. The stands have two stages, with two sizes that both overlap the most common 36" work table height. This makes them work at just about any height you need. Includes large zinc plated cross bolts to easily hold over 200 lbs. Along with ground tab, middle tube stop ring (prevents pinching fingers), base plates that sandwich on rotor, all hardware, and cut template for coping tube for angle iron top.
- Large cross bolts are easy to grip and tighten, light effort will hold
up to 100#, use a little more force for up to 200#, or if you really
crank on them it will hold up to 300#. We don't recommend holding 300#
with only one stand, but it is possible.

- Short - stands get nice and low for working under vehicles, feeding a band saw, and still get high enough to hold something at work bench height
- Tall - stands go below work bench height and way up for working on
vehicle lifts or doing roll cage and tube fab. These are also great to
span a bar across, to create a quick hanging station for painting parts
Tube & Base Selection
- HREW .090 or .095" wall tubing in 1 ¾”, 1 ½”, 1 ¼” is strong enough to hold up to 300 lbs. Paint outer tube and keep smaller ones oiled for rust prevention, or step up to our Zinc plated stands for a longer lasting version.
- EMT Conduit in 1 ½”, 1 ¼”, 1” sizes works, but is lighter wall and will dent with heavy use, over 150#. It will have better corrosion resistance though.
- Base - Small car rotors work best, with a maximum 3 ¼” or 95mm hub bore, they are plenty heavy while not adding unnecessary weight.

- Required Tube for 4 short stands ˜ Large tube 4’, middle tube 4 ½’, small tube 5’
- Required Tube for 4 tall stands ˜ Large tube 8 ½’, middle tube 9’, small tube 9 ½’
- Short Stand – Large tube 11”, Middle tube 12 ½”, Small tube 14 ¼” or 13 ¾” with removable top
- Tall Stand – Large tube 25”, Middle tube 26 ½”, Small tube 28 ½” or 27 ¾” with removable top
- Angle Iron – 1 ½” that’s 8” long is our favorite size
Full DIY tips and tricks
Jam bolt - use 3/8 bolt, make sure to radius the end so it has a slight dome to rub on tube being jammed on. A 3/8" x 4" long piece of dowel rod welded to bolt makes a nice handle
Base - cut out some plates and bolt them to a rotor
Top - Angle iron, set next to tube to eyeball profile, grind to fit
