The floor jack extension converts your floor jack into a universal 1 1/2" pin. The saddle alone gives a 2 to 3" extension, it comes with 6" and 11" extensions that you can stack for a total of 16" extension. There are multiple pin styles to work with different floor jacks. We came up with a 4x4 saddle with one side for round tubes and another for standard frames. The extension tubes are swaged from 1.5 x .120 DOM tube and have a pressed in stop collar.
Recommended limits – full jack rating w/ 6” ext. –75% of jack rating w/ 11” ext. – 50% of jack rating w/both stacked at 16” ext.
All styles come with:
- 1 1/2" diameter conversion pin - 1018 steel
- 6" and 11" DOM extension tubes
- 4x4 saddle - laser cut, formed & welded - 1/4" A572
Extension holders are
now an option. They hose clamp on the handle of your jack and hold the
extensions similar to a Mag-lite mount. 3D printed from very durable ASA
material to withstand years of use.
Jack Saddle Styles -
Bolt on - Fine Thread - Most common. Includes large washer for jacks with a lip sticking up when factory saddle is removed.Bolt on - Coarse Thread - Used on Duralast, Torin and potentially other brand jacks
Cross Pin - Fits most 1½ ton jacks that use a cross pin to retain the saddle.
Drop in pin - Fits older style jacks with 1.17" or 1 3/16" pin
For up to 3 ton floor jacks - The longer extensions add leverage to your jack base, which will bend or break if used improperly. The fail point in our destructive testing is the floor jack base, where our 1 1/2" pin attaches. This bends your jack, then our extension pin and tube with around 500-1000 lbs of side load, depending on the jack and extension. Weld our 1 1/2" pin to your jack for increased strength, a couple stitch welds is all it takes.
