This 2x3' - 24"x36" ramp is a great in between to our other sizes. It
gives a wider target than the 2' while being easier to transport than
our 4' ramp. The 3' wide target is fairly easy to hit at speed as long
as you stay in-line with the car.
This design stays planted better than our 1:10 scale ramps. It has a separate start transition that takes the hits while allowing the main
ramp frame to stay planted on the ground, we then added a cross bar on
the legs to keep the ramp held in place much
better. The start transition is 1/8" Lexan with a 3/4" HDPE cross bar
that all comes pre-drilled and chamfered. This new design is flexible, but
also uses the cross bar to stay in contact with the ground, this combo
allows for a perfect solution for a long lasting ramp.
Assembly required - Takes about 1 hour - Frame bolts together with expanding tube inserts, then clamp deck and use pilot holes in frame to drill and screw the top deck to frame.
Ramp Deck - 2 sheets of 1/8" Masonite (hardboard) are cheap and work good, or get 1 sheet of 1/8" Lexan (polycarbonate) for a longer lasting deck. Lexan will need to be chamfered for flat head screws to sit flush.
